Etymology

As you can tell, my first name is embedded in the company name. This is by design. I actually started looking for English words in which my name was embedded and didn’t find any1. Then, I stumbled upon “whimsical”, which was a word I’d never heard of before. Although it’s not a very positive property in a professional context, I thought it was quite funny. At least the first meaning is, which oddly only seems to occur in the New Oxford American Dictionary2:

adjective
1. playfully quaint or fanciful, esp. in an appealing and amusing way: a whimsical sense of humor.
2. acting or behaving in a capricious manner : the whimsical arbitrariness of autocracy.
